Summer time...and the livin's easy!
Hope everyone out there in blogger land is doing well and enjoying summer. Michigan has been beautiful so far this summer, with just a few humid days. Mostly lots of sun and temps in the 70s and 80s once in a while.
My mom visited last week and we had a great time together. The boys loved reconnecting with Granny (tee hee, I still love calling her that). We did way more in a week than we should have, but when you've got only a week, you cram it full. We did lots of gardening, and I learned a ton from Granny's green thumb. Mine is more black-ish. Here are a few pics of my favs.
The first is of our trip to Lake Michigan. It's mid-June, and Mom and I were freezing. You could tell who the Florida girls were on the beach!
Nathan saw this car on our walk and thought it was Lighting McQueen so he had to have his picture taken with it. I love his imagination!
The movie is from a trip with Mom to Meijer (rhymes with "fire") Gardens, a cool place in Grand Rapids. Lots of gardens, but also a really cool kids garden with a huge Great Lakes area. Obviously the water was the lakes! Nathan didn't care about anything else there--he could have stayed here and played with the plastic boats for days.
