30th B-day

Okay, there's so much to update everyone on, I'm going to do three separate entries, so get ready!

Brian turned the huge 3-0 on March 19th this year, and we lived it up big time. Sneaky me put together a whole weekend of festivities without Brian ever knowing anything. Friday, Brian's roommate from USAFA and good friend Matt and his girlfriend Jamie flew into town and showed up at our doorstep. I asked Brian to get the door, and the tricks began! We had a great time catching up with Matt. Then, as if that wasn't enough, the next day, another doorbell ring brought Brian's best friend James and his fiance Julie! (They had just gotten engaged the previous day--Congratulations!) At this point, Brian knew something was up, and he was right. Our good friends Pat and Rikki Heflin turned up for the fun, Miss Shannon (Nathan's favorite teacher) arrived to take care of the boys, and the limo picked us up right on time. The final surprise was Tom McCaleb and his girlfirend Kat met us at Jack Quinn's downtown. The gang really lived it up, drank way too many carbombers, and celebrated Brian's birthday first class. With all this planning, of course there would be something to forget--I forgot to charge my camera... I'm waiting for pictures from some of the party-goers. Thank goodness we only turn thirty once :-)
